Subjects
This half-day interactive workshop has been developed to create an inclusive space for those who want to better understand and support their transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
With an emphasis on curiosity and kindness we will discuss some of the unique experiences, assumptions, joys, and challenges faced by transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people.
We will explore the use of language, best practice, the importance of community, as well as the breadth of experiences and needs. We will listen to personal stories about identity affirming steps we can take as individuals and organisations as well as reflecting on how we can reduce the ways in which we may harm.
